I was rambling around the Co-op earlier this week looking for some skimmed milk that very nearly wasn't there at all, when I stumbled across a few shelves that made me angry.
Now, I'm not used to being angry about shelves - after all, they're only shelves and should not anger anyone of themselves. So, in reality, it was not the shelves that angered me, it was the goods on them.
That said, I suppose it is not fair to be angry about something as unintelligent as goods on shelves, so I will retract that one as well. I think what made me angry was the person who filled the shelves - although, in fairness, they were only following orders.
So, the real heart of this is that I was angry at the person and/or committee who decided that the 8th of September would be a good day to put out the Christmas produce.I mean - it's two months to bonfire night for goodness sake!
Yes, I am waiting, if it kills me..

Yep I have seen that one in a few supermarkets as well this week. I just don't quite understand it?
Makes me angry as well, just devalues Christmas and makes it more a money-making event rather than what it is really all about.

I wonder what it is really all about? Anyway... I agree Andy, and this sort of thing makes my blood boil. Not literally obviously. That would be very wrong, highly dangerous, and.... quite hot.

Maybe we should start a campaign .... ??
No Christmas produce until after Bonfire Night.

Good idea Liz... and while we're about it, abolish Bonfire Night!
