New Additions

The more lovely and astute of you will have already realised that I have made a few additions to the left-hand sidebar of this blog.

The first is called Twitter, and it enables me to let you know little snippets about what I am doing through the day. I can send them in from an instant messenger, or from my phone. So, it you want to be in touch with me, or keep tabs on what i am doing, this is the place to look.

Obviously, I will forget to update it from time to time, but that goes with the territory. I also reserve the right to lie.
The second little gizmo is an enhanced chat feature, to replace the AndyBlog chat, which i now use principally for the radio station on a Wednesday night.

So, just type in a nickname in the box provided and chat away. Here's the deal - you will see other users of this blog online as soon as they hit the web page - AND YOU CAN CHAT TO THEM TOO. So, feel free to use this blog as a place to meet up with friends of mine - and, no doubt, the odd enemy online to keep tabs on me

I will keep an eye on the room and pop in if anyone shows any interest. It would be good to gather there sometimes and have a chinwag.

Please note that this is not a private room - others will see what you type. If you want a private chat with me, the next option is for you.

This Meebo widget has been running for a while, and I have been surprised by how well it is used.

You can say hello to me in complete privacy here and pass on whatever secret message you may have. I sometimes use it to be a friend to myself, as you can see.

Well, that about wraps it up, I guess. except to say that I am considering bringing a live streaming webcam section to AndyBlog, so you can see whether I am busy or not. Technically this is quite a challenge, but I am considering giving it a go.

Watch this space. Or another, more interesting, one.

Wow, so you've got a webcam now. I'm not sure if I want to be seen sitting in front of my computer pulling funny faces or having an empty look on my face, while I try and think of something (interesting) to write.
I also like those "meebo thingies". I might give it a go once if I dare. ;-)
