After the rain of Friday, we pounced on Saturday's morning sun, quickly descending on Otter Sands. It's a particularly beautiful stretch of sand and rocks and one that I hope to return to a fair amount. Who knows, you might think it looks like a pleasant place to be as well.
A sand pendant, and the great sand cliffs of “fairly near the sea” that day.
A view along the rocks towards the main beach.
Druridge Bay lies just to the north, round the headland. We'll go there another day and discover further delights, I'm sure.
It was so good to arrive here and do a little enjoying of the local beauty. We've spent too much time organising the house and moving boxes around. Finally, I can report that our little house is just about the way we want it. We have no idea how long we will be here, but the being here will be relatively painless, at least for now.
Ian is coming to work his woodly magic later today. When he has gone, we will have a good deal more space to work with kitchen things. Sadly, little seems to be able to be done for the smell. Please visit us and experience it first hand. It's unforgettable. If it persists much longer I may wash.
So, I guess this is where coming to NBTS ends and being here begins.
It's good to have people to stay, we have actually gone out to look at some of the beautiful places around us. I am actually beginning to feel that I really live here now.
