You cannot fly like an eagle with the wings of a wren.
William Henry Hudson (1841 - 1922)
God loved the birds and invented trees. Man loved the birds and invented cages.

Hey, that hit me hard tonight. I think maybe I do try to make like an eagle when I simply don't have the wing-power. As for the other quote...well, plenty of room for thought there, also.
Happy thinking.
A bird in the hand is worth two in the bush.
A swan is for life not just for Christmas.
A wise person steals not a lark lest his gannet bursts.
A puffin a day saves nine.
A crested glebe is all very well, but I'm more of a tit man.

One bird, two birds, then there were three
None of them settled in a nest or a tree.
One in the sky, on a branch and a cage
All of them sitting so............long on this page.
