Yes. My thumb hurts.
It hurts, my thumb.
It's a hurty thumby.

It's someone else's thumb.
Their thumb was hurtytoo.

This is not a poem.
If something sticks or stands out like a sore thumb, it is clearly and obviously different from the things that are around it.

I have a hurty back and kidneys, do you think that sort of treatment will sort me out? Bit of a rubbish sort of poem though!
