Here are a few pictures from the filming on Tuesday.
This guy, Paul, has to be one of the best vocal coaches I've ever seen in action. He was enthusiastic, full of energy, endlessly patient and bursting with good humour. He was a joy to film, and his students all seemed to improve noticeably, even in the short time we were there filming.
Obviously, not everyone lasted the course. As for me, I can honestly say that I had an enjoyable time doing this job. It was interesting being a fly on the wall (big fly, you might think...) and seeing a great many talented people from around the region being guided in the ways of music, dance and acting.
Not everyone is a star, some were quite a way short, but it was good to see The Sage doing what it set out to do. Not just fine words and funding - here were school kids giving up their half term to work on an interesting project that stretched their talents.
It was good to see - and great to film.
I thought it was interesting too. I got so caught up in the goings on I totally forgot to have a look round The Sage though. Ah well, maybe on the next visit.

Neither of your visits are funded. Didn't I mention that?
