I was going to say that “Spring had Sprung”, but, on reflection, I think it may have merely wondered in, in search of a coffee.
There we were, just days ago, in the grip of a late icy blast from the north and then it just sorta fizzled out. Next, when the sun makes an appearance, it seems to pretend it has never been away. As it shines, and the temperatures rise, it feels like it has always been this way - it's impossible to imagine the winter. By the same token, when the snow and ice pile up, I find it impossible to think that it could ever be warm and balmy again.
Anyway, the season of sun is back with us. It glints at us from low on the horizon, often blinding us - and challenging us not to be grateful.
So, when do the seasons really change? Is there an official time for each season, or do we just kinda decide when the snow retreats? This year, the snow barely showed up before it was gone - it almost missed entirely. More food and drink for the “Global-Warmingites”.
Enjoy Spring folks. I love it really.
Nice picture.

Yes, thinking about the spring reminds me of an interesting and highly amusing story that happened to me in the spring.

What were you doing in a spring for goodness sake!

"Spring is sprung, the sun is ris,
I wonder where the boidies is? -
some people say the boid is on the wing -
but that's absoid, the wing is on the boid!"

Nice little poem dad. I'm just leaving a message because I'm quite surprised, and maybe even somewhat disturbed to see that no-one has picked up on the opening paragraph of this blog proclaiming that Spring "...wondered in.." - Like it sort of sauntered in thinking about general things? Would I be safe in saying this was a typo and it really should have read "wandered"? I guess working through the night has taken its toll on your grammar, or maybe the late/early hour is simply when your spell-checker is not working at its best? What do you think?

Aaron! How nice to see your return to Blogland. I remember seeing an email in which you assured us that you would soon be Blogging like there was no tomorrow.
I think I saw one post...
Nevertheless, you have been missed, so welcome back.
As for "wondering" - poetically speaking, is it not more evocative? Like a more redolent version of wandering?
