Life has a curious way of throwing something completely unexpected up. So it has been today.
Just when I thought I understood my health condition and had learned to cope with it, something strange happened.
As you know, I have not been well over the weekend. After the high fever of Friday night and the return of the cellulitis on Saturday, I kinda accepted that I would be off-colour for a few days, followed by things returning to what has become a kind of normality.
Whilst this may yet be what happens, I noticed today that I had a large red patch on my upper left arm. It was itchy. Fiona then pointed out that it was quite hot as well. All the tell-tale signs of cellulitis. As the day has progressed, that patch has got worse, so it's really beyond doubt. It's hurting now, and starting to form into a head. The whole cycle is starting again.
I'm pretty gutted. I wonder where it will go next and how much more of my life will be wrecked by this awful disease. Now, every itchy area, every patch of redness is suspect. It's like having a terrorist at large. Scary.
Once again, time to dig deep.
Maybe that extensive iPOD, iTalk and PODZilla feature will wait a little while.
And finally...
Fiona made an excellent Lamb Casserole today. Many would call it a curry. We ate it with home made chaptitis. I am glad I managed a reasonable portion, because my appetite has plummeted - always a clear sign of unwellness in me.
To take my mind off the gathering gloom, I decided to fashion, from my bedside laptop, the Eurothinkbox site. This has been an idea long in the planning for Jason and myself, yet has not really seen the light of day. It's re-invention as a blog will make posting easier, and therefore help it to live. The humour is quite off-beat, so please don't think there is any necessity to like it, or pretend you like it.
Andy, I hope you feel better. It must be difficult to manage such health problems.
Wishing you the best.

Thanks, Tom. I'll get the hang of it all one day, find some inner peace, and be well again.
...or so several people have told me. :)
