It's the new taste sensation that's gripping the nation - well, maybe not the nation, maybe the North East - or perhaps more the Stanley area.... mainly the Griffin House end of Stanley.
Anyhow, here's what you do. First, buy a packet of Minty Poppits and a packet of Digestive biscuits. Then, take two Poppits, and a bite of biscuit at the same time. Chew.
If you're anything like us, you'll notice a definite niceness to the experience you....erm...experience.
Isn't this just a poor-man's Viscount experience? See http://www.nicecupofteaandasitdown.com/biscuits/previous.php3?item=30

But is it? I think we would need some detailed costings doing to ascertain the veracity of this possibility.

You're right Liz. It was wrong of me to assume that the Poppet and Digestive concoction is cheaper than a Viscount. To know though, I'll need detailed weight and cost information. Based on 2 Poppets and 1 Digestive, is the costs and taste comparable to a Viscount biscuit, or is it better and cheaper, better and more expensive, worse and cheaper, worse and more expensive, or comparable and cheaper, or comarable and more expensive? Or just different? A blind taste test may need to be organised with groups of tasters examining both foodstuffs, and a control group eating Weetabix and toothpaste, or Ryvita and After Eights.

hello there, whatever happened to minty Yo-Yo's? They were the same as viscounts but I think more aimed at the youth generation. And also I haven't had a minty Club for a long time, let alone seen one, do they still make them? I was just in New York and as always when I visit the US had the pleasure of indulging in Mint Oreo cookies! YUMMMMM. I actually don't like the chocolate that Poppet makers use to surround the mint centre, I'm very picky about chocolate these days. I would think that a Fry's Peppermint Cream slightly melted and mashed into a pulp would be rather tasty on a digestive biscuit. Maybe try that one.

Andy, I would like to assure you that I do read your more serious postings, however it's so much more fun to write lighthearted, fatuous comments.

Yes Aaron, they still make Mint Club biscuits. I always buy a case when I'm in Borneo, which I was recently.
