I've spent the last week or so full to bursting with things to blog about. So much so, that I made the mental mistake of heaping them all together and promising myself a “big” blogging session in which I would make many different entries - some serious, some light-hearted and some educational. It was to be a carnival of blogging which would entertain and delight you for literally days to come.
Needless to say, it never happened. So here we are, and I feel kind of liberated, and you should probably feel a degree of gratitude that you escaped such a torrent of my wisdom. Besides, as a beginning, this beats the pants off “I've been really busy recently. Sorry....etc.” Truth is, I haven't been /that/ busy, although I have managed to get a fair amount done. There has been plenty of time for playing Bejeweled 2 and the ever-popular Colin McRae Rally 2005.
One interesting job I had was to photograph the Angel Of The North, as part of a web project I am working on. I got mean and decided not to pay someone to use a photograph I could take myself. Having said that, it was a harder endeavour than I thought. The thing is so big, and there is no good vantage point from which to shoot. The picture you see here is not the one I will use, it's a shot I took just as I was leaving, and I think it came out surprisingly well. Maybe Angel-bum is the way forward?
Please don't try to work out what I have said here, you'll be sadly disappointed.
I like the picture, the grey sky really shows off the bronze .... also, never noticed his bum before, it's quite neat. (Better than his wings!)

I think I should be broing and say that the Angel is not bronze, it is steel, but not the stainless kind. Designed to oxidise down to the bronzy colour you see.
Also, I think great play was made at the time of it being neither female or male. Personally, I think she is a lady.
