Of course, I have no sensible or well thought out justification of my claim of “louder”. This has everything to do with the volume level which you, the listener/s, choose to select.
That said, we're certainly prouder. Oh yes.
So what's happened? Well, while I have been away doing interesting and exciting things in other parts of the country, changes have been afoot. As a result, I am delighted to announce that we have a brand new broadband feed in place and working beautifully. So, if you have broadband, follow the link from the front page of the web site and you'll soon be listening to AD-LIB Radio at near CD quality.
To hear the new service right now, click HERE. As usual, when there is no live programme running, there will be a loop-back reel of previous shows.
Of course, this move is sure to annoy our modem listeners, and I do apologise to them most profusely. However, all is not lost. For modem users, when the live shows are running there will be the original modem-compatible feed available. If you use a modem to connect to the internet and need to use this feed, please email me and I will send you the link - we have limited bandwidth on this stream, so please use the broadband connection if you can.
Don't forget - the station will be back LIVE again on Wednesday 13th July, and we have a BUMPER show planned. Lots of great music (of course), Phrase Maze, Poems, 16 Finest, Me playing the piano and the fantastic theme of: SOAP!
So, start writing your poems about soap and washing - or send in any stories relating to that subject and I'll read 'em out on air.
I'm looking forward to being back in the DJ's chair so much! See you on the 13th at 10pm?
I hope so.
