New Show - Sunday 4.30pm

Yes, I've finally done it - we have two shows on the station now.

In addition to the Wednesday night extravaganza - we have a brand new music & comedy hour - bravely entitled:

“Evelyn DeVere's Laughter Solution”

Either tune in on Sunday at 4.30pm for just over an hour - or catch it on the loop-back, in tandem with the repeat of last Wednesday's show.

The show is a simple format - involving the playing of interesting and enjoyable music, whilst interspersing it with classic comedy clips. I'm happy to report that the jollity will not be spoiled by my own, largely irrelevant and hindersome tones.

Nice Show

Well, that's another show chalked up - and great fun it was too.

Station statistics show that we had a total of 24 listeners over the three and a half hour period. This is way beyond my expectations - and thanks to everyone for tuning in. With support like this - anything is possible. I look forward to the day when i can justify a slot on Live 365, giving us a full and incrementally upgradeable 24/7/365 presence.

I'm very conscious that, for this, we need more shows. I'm working on it - but we need more people to get involved to make this happen.

In The Bag

The first show was great fun to do on Wednesday.

I was out earlier in the evening at a band rehearsal, and so when I got in, it was a bit of a rush getting everything ready. In the rush, I actually did forget a few things - like setting the recording going.

Nevertheless, it was a great night, and the recording of the show is now looping on the station for you all to hear, minus the first 25 minutes, that is. I may yet "recreate" those first few magical minutes, depending on how bored I get.

So, we have a pattern established. Live show on Wednesday, then repeat it through the week. I may also pre-record a comedy clips show and place that on the repeat reel.

The main thing is that we are up and running. Smashing.

PROMO On-Air

Just to let you know that I've put together a promo reel and it is now playing as a continuous loop on the station.

I decided to do this, mainly to point to the Wednesday night show, but also to establish the station's presence on the internet.

This way, when people tune in, they get something, rather than nothing - this has to be an advantage.

I have switched the actual broadcasting part of the job to the laptop, thus taking the strain of my main Mac, and enabling me to work unhindered.

In short, it all seems to be coming together.

Thanks to everyone for their words of encouragement. This IS now going to happen.

AD-LIB RADIO is here!

It's been a long time coming, by AD-LIB RADIO is finally here.

Starting from 10.30pm on Wednesday 20th April 2005, the new station will be on the air, each and every Wednesday.

Obviously, this is the smallest of stations and the lowest of aspirations, but we must be realistic in the first instance. It is my hope, that in the future, we can expand our programming, have a team of presenters and do all kinds of funky things. The sky is the limit.

For now, I would just warmly invite you to join us for show number one. It'll be fun.
