Lancelot Robson at 90

It has been my delight and joy recently to make a CD and DVD featuring this amazing chap. He is nearly 90 years old and yet has a spirit and sense of fun that would put many of us to shame.
See him here, still well able to play the fiendishly difficult Northumbrian Pipes. He has singlehandedly done much to keep the tradition alive in Northumbria, and he currently own one of the world's largest collections of pipes and piping related exhibits.
I'd be delighted to be this full of life at 90. who wouldn't? I reckon old age could be fun, after all.

Two months ago Ian bought Kieran and I some cheap speakers for our computer. They both blew up....literally, the smell of burning wires is a bugger to get rid of. Anyway, today as a surprise he bought me a complete surround sound system and its wonderful. So in short, I have been able to appreciate this blog in its fullest. He's a lovely chap.

Why did that make me feel really emotional? I think I'm missing the north. Wow, that was deep.
